Projects

I love getting creative in company with others. Here are just a few of the activities and projects I have led in the past few years:

Alford Craft Market 50 – a participatory project to create 20 banners in celebration of this long established event.

ENVELOPE/BREV -an international art exchange project during the COVID pandemic, between communities on the Lincolnshire Coast and Helsingor, Denmark.

Curious Keepsake Machine – a collaborative venture during the COVID pandemic with Design-Nation colleagues. We created an interactive artwork that toured to Lincolnshire arts venues when they re-opened.

Art Week at Bourne Westfield Academy – working with 300 children (Reception – Yr6) to create a ‘Peacock Dress’ inspired by locally-born haute couturier, Charles Worth.

Hatch – a 7 day creative residency at The Hub, Sleaford, to create a community-produced patchwork with exhibition visitors.

Pages of the Sea – delivery of the Lincolnshire event with volunteers for a national 100 year Armistice Day celebration created by Danny Boyle.

Familiarity – the creation of a group patchwork with parents and children at Lacey Gardens School.

PLACE – an interactive exhibition engaging the local community in contributing fragmentary histories regarding the Riverhead in Louth.

Gatherums & Springside community garden – provision of a series of creative participation events inspired by local heritage.

SO Festival – development of a Community Programming Team with people in Mablethorpe and Skegness, including festival visits around the UK.

DAYTRIPS – an outreach initiative providing curated cultural city visits for people living in relative isolation on the coast.

Arts on Prescription a 12-week textile course for people with mental health needs.

HOME – a creative development project for people being supported by housing services.
